Let us not sugarcoat love.It is one of,if not the most powerful forces.Powerful because it is both gentle and mighty.Gentle because it heals,mends and binds wounds.Mighty because it is ever persevering,transforming and sacrificial.Jesus came to save us but let us not forget the cost-a father giving up His one and only son to people who humiliated,mocked and despised him.John Piper said love does not always necessarily make you feel loved.We run away at the first sign of pain from a person thinking it is not love.If Jesus ran the first time a person who rejected him,our chances for salvation would be none.The redemption of mankind did not rest on a God who made excuses or sugarcoated truths just to avoid offending anyone.
